A man has been charged in connection with a stabbing in South Dublin yesterday.
At around 4.25pm an altercation took place between two men outside a food premises in Carrickmines. A 44-year-old man received stab injuries and was taken by ambulance to St Vincent's Hospital where he underwent surgery.
He is currently described as being in a stable condition.
The second man fled the scene.
In a follow-up operation in the early hours of this morning a 35-year-old man was arrested in the Kingscourt area of Co Cavan.
The 35-year-old man is due in the Criminal Courts of Justice this afternoon.
