In Russia a former convict has killed 6 people including a 14-year-old girl in a daylight shooting at a hunting shop in the city of Belgorod.
The 32-year-old was apparently armed with a hunting rifle. He killed 3 salespeople at the shop and two passers-by outside the premises in the city which is close to the border with Ukraine.
Unlike in the United States access to firearms is restricted in Russia and mass shootings are relatively rare.
A manhunt for the shooter is still underway.
Car found near Ukrainian border
Interfax news agency reported the gunman walked into the shop and fired the shots. He then killed two more people on the street outside before getting into a BMW and driving off.
The vehicle was later found abandoned close to the Ukraine border.
One other person was also injured but died later in hospital from head injuries. The area around the shooting scene has been cordoned off by police.
This amateur footage from local media shows a body lying near the scene.
