50 people are feared dead after Boko Haram militants stormed a village in Northeastern Nigeria with guns and explosives.
According to the Nigerian army, the village of Dalori, located near the city of Maiduguri, was attacked on Saturday evening, leaving residents to flee for their lives.
The militants entered the village just after evening prayer and attempted to penetrate a nearby camp for those displaced by violence in the region, though their efforts were repelled by soldiers.
A number of suicide bombers also attacked villages in the Lake Chad region, which is a frequent target of Boko Haram violence. Three people were killed.
