A 24-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Paul McCauley.

Mr McCauley died nine years after he was severely beaten in a sectarian attack in Derry.

He was aged 29 at the time of the attack, and died last month in a care facility.

The man was arrested in the Fountain area of the city yesterday - and is to appear at Derry Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
