An International report has confirmed that 2014 was the Earth's warmest year on record.

The "State of the Climate in 2014" report was released today by the American Meteorological Society.

It reveals Climate markers continue to show a global warming trend.

Professor Peter Thorn, of Maynooth University's Department of Geography, is one of the editors of the report.
