Police in Pakistan say 20 people have been murdered at a shrine in eastern Punjab province.
The shrine's custodian and two others have been arrested after the worshippers were attacked with sticks and knives.
BBC reports that the incident happened at a Sufi shrine in a village near the city of Sargodha.
Those killed had reportedly been intoxicated by poisoned food.
Four women were among the dead, with reports that four others were injured.
A local police officer told Al Jazeera that custodian Abdul Waheed handed himself over to authorities.
The motivation is unclear, but police are investigating if the custodian was mentally unstable.
The officer said: “Waheed is in custody. We are currently taking down witness statements. We will decide on terrorism charges after that."
