An 18 year old woman is in a critical condition after a fall from a hotel balcony early this morning in County Offaly.

Gardai say she was a guest at a wedding in the hotel in Tullamore.

At a quarter past one this morning she was sitting on a first floor balcony, when she fell head first onto a parked car underneath.

The woman is being treated at the Midlands Regional Hospital.
