Ten staff members at Stewarts Hospital in Dublin have been suspended amid allegations over the standard of care received by some residents.
The Irish Times says an investigation is underway at the care centre for people with disabilities after students on placement made complaints about neglectful or abusive practices.
They claim some nurses and care staff were not closing doors when clients were showering; some clients were locked out of their bungalows; and some were being spoken about as if they were not present.
The hospital says it's working with HIQA to address the allegations and an external investigation team has been put in place.
