Earlier today, the Sunday Business Post's health editor Susan Mitchell appeared on Moncrieff, offering her take on the news and natter about general developments in the Irish health system. 

Towards the end of the segment, which you can listen back to here, Ms Mitchell made reference to the HSE's cross-border healthcare directive; this offers persons entitled to public healthcare in Ireland the opportunity to enter another EU/EEA member state (Switzerland excepted), and access healthcare as laid out in the governing EU Regulations & Directives and Irish legislation.
