A 14 year old boy is in a critical condition after becoming wedged in a railing in an accident in Co Cork.

It's understood the teenager was with friends in Kinsale, when he fell down a slope near Compass Hill around 7 yesterday evening.

He's now in a critical condition in Cork University Hospital, after suffering respiratory problems.

Gardai are investigating, but say they're treating it as a tragic accident.
