We tend to take the Sun for granted as it’s always there and never seems to change. But the Sun is an incredibly dynamic star and is in a constant state of flux. Pal Brekke is a Solar Scientist who was in Dublin this week to talk about the scientific glory of the sun.

Of course the sun is also responsible for the Northern Lights which occur when solar winds collide with the earth's atmosphere. Due to a huge explosion on the Sun on Wednesday scientists are claiming that there will be a good chance of seeing the Northern Light here in Ireland over the weekend. As you may know the Futureproof team traveled to Norway to see the Aurora in January of this year. Here's a short video of some of the incredible light show we saw....
