Whilst the domestic economy is sluggish and emigration continues to be a harsh reality, we continue to attract Foreign Direct Investment or in lay man’s terms, foreign companies setting up jobs here.

The announcement this week of 700 new jobs with Deutsche Bank is the latest announcement that offers hope for a weak economy.

However with increased pressure from Europe to raise the rate of Corporation Tax, can this last? And is there a cost to attracting these multinationals here?
