As many as 200 new jobs are to be created in separate announcements across the country.

The discount retailer Dealz is to bring some 160 temporary positions on-stream across their 30 stores to manage the busy Christmas period.

CEO at Dealz Jim McCarthy says "The employment market for the retail sector is still fragile and so we are really proud to have significantly increased our temporary vacancies this year".

He adds that many temporary workers last year were retained in permanent roles in the business.

Stores have already started taking applications, and those who wish to apply should collect a form from their local shop.

While up to 30 new jobs are to be create over the next three years at an Irish medical diagnostics company.

 Randox Teoranta which is based in Dungloe in Co. Donegal will provide laboratory products to clinics and hospitals in Mexico. The deal is worth around €8 million over the next two years.

Today the Irish President Michael D. Higgins and the President of Mexico, Enrique Pena Nieto, will be in attendance at the Palacio Nacional in Mexico where the trade agreement will be signed.

While 10 new jobs are also being created in Dublin. Willows Consulting in the north Dublin area is to expand its e-commerce operations.

The IT service provider specialises in online payments.

The majority of the new full-time positions are technical IT positions, with a number of clerical and back office roles also on offer.

The company, which was initially formed in 2002, specialises in linking enterprise accounts systems direct to online sales.
