A number of prominent musicians had their Twitter accounts 'hacked' over the weekend.

Individuals managed to post a number of tweets from the accounts of artists including Keith Richards and Bon Iver.

Jack Black's rock band Tenacious D was forced to clarify that the comedian was still alive after a series of tweets falsely claimed he had died. The band said the incident was a 'sick prank'.
