The Irish Bank Resolution Corporation (IBRC), which includes the remains of Anglo Irish Bank, is likely to appeal a €150m tax bill which it faces.
The tax bill is thought to be one of the largest ever submitted to a State-owned entity.
The charges relate to both salaries and one-off special bonuses paid to senior executives in the bank and how PAYE and other payments were treated by the bank.
If an appeal is lodged it is likely that it will take years to settle the matter.
