The Taoiseach Enda Kenny says the next Government will be able to go on somewhat of a spending spree from 2018 onwards.

Mr Kenny made the comments at a business leaders dinner in Dublin last night.

He also says a working family payment should be introduced in the next Government.

He says there must be an end to the passive welfare culture that has developed in Ireland.

Mr Kenny says the growing economy will mean scope for spending money once we reach deficit targets set out by Europe.
