When you are lost and alone, it makes sense to turn to the voice of god to help you find your way. And now that Morgan Freeman has signed on as the narrator to a GPS map app, that’s even easier than prayer.

The Oscar-winning actor, best known for adding his distinctive voice to the narration of The Shawshank Redemption, can now guide pedestrians and drivers around corners and through roundabouts with the Waze app.

Freeman adds his warm and authoritative voice to the app as part of the promotional push for his new film, London has Fallen, in which the character actor plays the vice-President of the United States.

Directions delivered by Freeman will include references to the film, a sequel to Olympus has Fallen, and will include references to the action thriller’s plotlines and characters. Lines recorded include: “The time has arrived, President Wazer. The world awaits your command,” and “The American people are counting on you... to drive. Let’s go.”

The 78-year-old actor is the latest in a long line of celebrities to have recorded audio directions for the fast-growing app to promote new projects, including Kevin Hart, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Stephen Colbert.
