A Danish MP has warned Ireland against taking too many refugees, saying "You have a beautiful country - keep ti that way."
Kenneth Kristensen Berth, an MP from the right-wing Danish People's Party and the party's Spokesperson for European Affairs, was speaking to George Hook on The Right Hook today.
He was discussing the decision by Denmark's parliament on Tuesday to approve drastic reforms curbing asylum seekers' rights, including delaying family reunification and confiscating valuables.
The bill presented was approved by a huge majority of 81 of the 109 lawmakers present, as members of the opposition Social Democrats backed the measures.
The 'Jewellery Bill' explicitly excludes wedding rings and low-value items from threat of confiscation.
Mr Berth told George that the current handling of the refugee crisis by Germany is “insane” and that Merkel is “ruining Germany”.
