A woman has died and three other people have been injured in a crash in Co Longford.
The three-car crash happened on the R198 at Cloonagh near Drumlish at around 7.20pm yesterday evening.
The driver of one of the cars - a 34-year-old woman - was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her body was taken to the mortuary at Tullamore Hospital, where a post-mortem exam will take place.
Three other people were injured in the incident, and taken to Mullingar Hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
A forensic examination has taken place at the scene, and the road has now reopened.
Gardaí say the cars involved in the crash have been removed for further examination.
