Earlier this week, Chris Donoghue travelled to refugee camps in Croatia and Serbia to report on the conditions there with Trócaire Ireland.
Chris reported that the numbers of refugees travelling through the camps is down from around 11,000 in October to 6,000 in one day recently, but usually peaking at about 3,000 or 4,000.
The refugees are travelling from three countries, Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq.
When the refugees get to the camp, they receive a health screening, food, clothing and water, a programme run by the Department of Social Protection. They are then moved on to Croatia, a much more military operation.
