Two men arrested after Cabra burglary

Gardaí from the traffic division stopped the car and made the arrests

Gardaí patrolling the New Cabra Road in Dublin 7 made two arrests early on Friday morning after following a car they observed pulling out of a driveway. 

Gardaí stopped the car to speak with the driver and passenger when they were advised that a burglary had occurred on the New Cabra Road and a car had been stolen during the course of the robbery. 

Both men, aged in their early 20s, were arrested at the scene and were taken to Store Street Garda station where they were detained under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984, as amended.
Both men were charged this afternoon in relation to the incident and appeared before District Court Number 2, Criminal Courts of Justice, Dublin. 
The two men were remanded in custody to appear on 31st August, 2016 to Cloverhill District Court.
