This Saturday, Ticketmaster will host a Hackathon in Dublin. Local developers are invited to help create the best ticketing experience for fans.

The company says it is serious about opening up its platform and is going to give developers a rare insight into the company's culture.

The Ticketmaster team will be on site, coding with developers from around the country. The company hopes to gain 'insightful feedback on the developer experience'.

Those looking to attend can go along to the Digital Exchange in Dublin on Saturday, May 6th. The theme for the day is 'event discovery'.

"Here developers will use Ticketmaster’s APIs, mash them up with other APIs and ultimately create meaningful experiences for fans worldwide," said a release from the Ticketmaster.

Food and refreshments will be served on the day, and there will be prizes too. These range from a Phantom 3 Advanced Drone to a Go Pro Hero Session Camera.

This will be Ticketmaster’s ninth Hackathon globally, with more than 500 hackers attending events in LA, Arizona, Texas, North Carolina, Quebec City and most recently in London and Berlin.

Tickets for the Dublin event are free but limited. Sign up here
