Wet weather did not deter the estimated 35,000 women who ran, walked or jogged the VHI Mini Marathon in Dublin city centre this afternoon.
The 10-kilometre charity race was won by Siobhan O’Doherty from Tipperary, in a time of 34 minutes and 30 seconds.
Natasha Adams from Donegal was second across the finish line in 34 seconds and 33 seconds, while Sarah Mulligan secured third place in 35 minutes and 28 seconds.
Niamh Delaney won the visually impaired category in a time of 56 minutes and 31 seconds.
The event aimed to beat last year's fundraising record of nearly €6 million, with participants raising funds for 870 charities.
Traffic diversions remain in place around the city until this evening.

Meanwhile, almost 10,000 people took part in the Cork City Marathon earlier today.
The first person across the finish line of the 42-kilometre race was Philip Harty, with a time of two hours and 33 minutes.
The female winner, Nollaigh O’Neill, crossed the line after three hours and 41 seconds.
A husband and wife from Wexford - Joe and Kay O’Regan, both 80 - held hands as they finished the race.
The couple, who have been married for 57 years, finished the course in five hours and 25 minutes.

Another participant, Damien Coleman from Blackrock GAA Club, beat a previously set Guinness World Record by running the marathon while soloing with a hurley and sliotar for over four hours.

Road closures and diversions have been in effect across the city to facilitate the event.
