A teenager arrested in north London has been charged with 10 terror-related offences, according to British police.

Sudesh Mamoor Faraz Amman was detained by armed officers of the Metropolitan Police's Counter Terrorism Command in the capital last Friday and taken into custody at a south London police station.

Scotland Yard said officers from the Metropolitan Police also searched an address in north London.

The 18-year-old, of Brancker Road, Harrow, has been charged with seven offences of making a record of information likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism.

He is also accused of three offences of dissemination of terrorist publications.

Amman is due to appear in custody at Westminster Magistrates' Court later today.

A 19-year-old woman who was arrested in south London and an 18-year-old man detained in Bishop's Stortford, Herefordshire, on Wednesday have both been bailed until June.
