Looking for something to do this weekend? This year’s summer racing season is in full swing at the Curragh with the upcoming Tattersalls Irish Guineas Festival.

Whether you’re into the racing, socialising or style, the races are always a guaranteed good day (and night!) out.

This year’s Tattersalls Irish Guineas festival takes place on May 27th and 28th and will get underway with its first Classic race day of the season on Saturday, followed by 90s tribute band Reality Bites in concert at the end of the day.

Sunday will see Europe’s top fillies competing against one another in the Group 1 Tattersalls Irish 1000 Guineas, as well as the Tattersalls Gold Cup, along with the Group 3 Airlie Stud Gallinule Stakes, an established trial for the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby and FBD Hotels & Resorts Premier Handicap.

As well as the racing on Sunday, The Killashee Irish Tatler Style Icon Competition will take place, seeking to find the Curragh’s most stylish lady and man.

This year, the judges for the competition include actress Aoibhin Garrihy, 2fm presenter Eoghan McDermott, TV personality Norah Casey, Tatler Man editor Alexander Fitzgerald and Ciara McElligott of the Killashee Hotel.

The lucky winner of the female competition will win a prize of two nights for two in the four star Killashee Hotel, including breakfast on both mornings, champagne afternoon tea, dinner in Turners Restaurant, treatments in the award winning Killashee spa and a shopping spree worth €1,500.

The most stylish man will receive a weekend break at Killashee Hotel, including two nights’ bed & breakfast, dinner on one evening and tickets to the Irish Oaks at The Curragh on 15th July as well as a €500 shopping voucher.
