A new survey shows a quarter of people have spent 30 hours of their life watching a favourite Christmas film.
The study, commissioned by Sky Ireland, found that a quarter of people have watched a favourite traditional Christmas movie between 10 and 20 times.
This means some people have spent 30 hours or more of their life watching the same film.
While 41% admit to having a go-to traditional Christmas film.
The current top movies are Home Alone, Elf and Polar Express (40%). The top Christmas classics are Miracle on 34th Street and It’s a Wonderful Life (31%).
The survey also found that 65% of people open presents first thing in the morning.
However, one-in-ten wait long into the evening on Christmas Day before opening them.
Some 76% still feel as excited as a child at Christmas and will wake up before 9.00am in anticipation of the day.
The majority (72%) of people spend over six hours in their pyjamas on Christmas Day, with 8% of those people claiming never to take them off.
Some 28% say opening presents at a specific time is a favourite tradition. 17.4% love Christmas morning breakfast and 17% most enjoy sitting down as a family to watch a movie at Christmas.
