A new app is being launched to help people with hayfever.

By inputting symptoms into the Hay Fever Relief app, sufferers can have their symptoms graded by severity.

The app then recommends the best treatment and the information can be relayed to a pharmacist.

Around a quarter of the population (24%) of Irish people now suffer from the disorder.

The app will also supply information on pollen counts nationally and internationally.
