There was one lucky Dublin winner of the EuroMillions Plus top prize of €500,000.

The winning Quick Pick ticket was sold at the Spar Waterville shop in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15 on the day of the draw. The EuroMillions Plus draw gives players an extra chance to win €500,000.

So far in 2016, 24 players have won the EuroMillions Plus top prize of half a million euro.

Two further Irish players will get a timely boost  ahead of Christmas after winning the Match 5 prize of €28,114, with the tickets sold at the Penny Hill shop at the Ballyowen Shopping Centre in Lucan, Co. Dublin and online at www.lottery.ie.

The National Lottery is advising players to check their tickets.
