US actor Bill Nunn has died at the age of 62.
The veteran actor played Detective Eddie Souther in 1992's 'Sister Act' with Whoopi Goldberg.
It was his character's suggestion that she go into hiding from the mob in a local convent.
His acting credits also include the 'Spider-Man' franchise - and Spike Lee's 'Do the Right Thing' and 'He Got Game'.

His wife, Donna, said he died Saturday at his home in Pittsburgh.
NBC News reports he had been battling cancer.
He went on to appear in dozens of films and TV programs, including 'New Jack City' and 'Sirens.'
