As awards season begins to heat up, one of the big awards for the relative newbies has announced its nominations today.
The BAFTA 'Rising Star Award' has been a long-standing award for ear-marking the best and brightest of new talent in cinema from around the world.
Previous winners include Tom Hardy, Eva Green, James McAvoy and Will Poulter.
This year, the shortlist includes Star Wars: The Force Awakens' John Boyega, Fifty Shades of Grey actress Dakota Johnson, Kingsman: The Secret Service actor Taron Egerton, Brie Larson from Room and Bel Powley from Diary of a Teenage Girl .
On top of this award, Brie Larson will likely be nominated for Best Actress also, for her role in the movie directed by Irishman Lenny Abrahamson.
