A young boy who was involved in a road traffic accident in County Meath earlier this month has died in hospital.
The seven-year-old boy had been travelling in the car with his mother and younger brother when they were involved in a collision with a truck on January 13th.
The accident occurred on the R162, Kilberry to Nobber Road.
The 26-year-old mother died at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda in the early hours of the morning following the crash.
The driver of the truck was unharmed.
A garda spokesperson has confirmed that the boy - who had turned seven in October - passed away at Temple Street Children's Hospital this evening.
