Police in Tyrone are treating an assault that left two Latvian men seriously injured as a hate crime.

The men were attacked outside a bar in the town of Coalisland shortly before 9pm last night, Sunday 16th April.

The men - both in their 30s - sustained possible facial fractures as well as cuts and bruises in the attack.

“The victims of this assault are both Latvian nationals and we are treating the incident as a hate crime,” said PSNI inspector Neil Beck.

Anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened is asked to make contact with the PSNI.
