The PSNI has launched an appeal for information after a viable pipe bomb that was found in Antrim last night.
Investigating Detectives say the device was left outside a house at Hollybrook Crescent, Newtownabbey and could have killed or injured anyone in the vicinity if it had exploded.
The discovery led to the evacuation of a number of families from their homes on Monday evening. Officers say it was a reckless act.
