Wednesday, 30th August 2017: The Newstalk Lounge will be awash with famous faces from the worlds of sports, politics and entertainment at Electric Picnic. The Newstalk Lounge will be located in the Mindfield Arena and over the course of the three days the station will host a series of live discussions, interviews, debates and entertainment shows. 

Speaking about the Newstalk Lounge line-up, Patricia Monahan, Managing Editor at Newstalk said: “This is the third year we are bringing the Newstalk Lounge to Electric Picnic and we’re really looking forward to Stradbally this weekend. We have a jam-packed programme of events from sport, to old school game shows, to politics, along with some great special guests.  If you are not one of the lucky ones to be at Electric Picnic you can keep up with the action from the Newstalk Lounge on-air, Facebook and @NewstalkFM.”

7-9pm:                  Off The Ball with Brian O’Driscoll for The Crappy Quiz and Ball Bag Live

 

Saturday:

12-1pm:               Futureproof – when science fails, with Jonathan McCrea

1-2pm:                  Off The Ball Saturday Panel with Andy Lee, Diarmuid Lyng & Jarlath Regan

2-3pm:                  Talking Trump with Pat Kenny, who will be joined by Gina London and Joe Caulfield

3-4pm:                 Off The Ball Football & Hurling previews with Ger Gilroy, Kevin Kilbane and Tommy Walsh

4-5pm:                  Newstalk Newsmakers – Shane Coleman meets Minister for Health, Simon Harris, and Kerry TD, Michael Healy Rae
