Microsoft is hiring 100 professionals and graduates for its Irish operation, along with 60 interns - all of these positions will be based in its Dublin office.

The company is recruiting people for a range of positions, including service, process and software engineers, data analytics experts, program managers, finance experts, channel and technical account management, device demand planners, supply chain experts, operations, and sales and marketing.

Recruitment for some of these positions has already begun.

The US tech company has had a presence in Ireland for 30 years, and recently announced plans to invest €134m in developing its Dublin campus.

Cathriona Hallahan, Managing Director, Microsoft Ireland commented on today's announcement, "We’re delighted to offer this opportunity to 160 talented people to join Microsoft.

"Our new colleagues will have an opportunity to influence how this vision is delivered for customers across the globe. Microsoft in Ireland is a global hub for many parts of our operations and development teams. That means that there are great career opportunities for people – many of whom will have a European or global role while being based in Dublin."

She added that the company is seeking candidates who are, "creative thinkers with a growth mind set, passionate about technology innovation, customer obsessed, and interested in working in a fast paced dynamic environment."

PWC has also announced that it will be employing 500 new recruits in Ireland.
