Gardaí have arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with a fatal stabbing in Dublin.

A man in his 20s died following a the incident on the South Circular Road on Tuesday.

A 23-year-old man was arrested yesterday in connection with the incident.

On Tuesday, a 25-year-old man was found stabbed to death inside a flat on the South Circular Road - close to the junction with Bloomfield Avenue in Dublin 8.

Another man was found injured on the road outside the apartment and taken to hospital.

Yesterday, gardaí arrested a man in Dublin city and he is currently being detained at Kevin Street garda station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Gardaí are appealing fo anyone with information to come forward.
