A man is due to appear in court today charged in connection with an investigation into the distribution of stolen cars.
The 52-year-old was arrested on Wednesday after gardaí found suspected stolen vehicle parts while searching the car he was travelling in on the N11 in Wexford.
It came as part of an Operation Thor sting targeting a gang believed to have robbed cars from residential areas in Dublin.
Three cars – an Audi A4, an Audi A3 and VW Golf – were subsequently recovered during a follow-up search in Meath.
Four kilos of cannabis herb were also taken from the premises in the Summerhill area.
Three more vehicles – Audi A5, an Audi A1 and a Hyundai Tuscan – were confiscated during a search of a property in Wicklow.
Gardaí described the seizures as a "significant result" in targeting the crime gang in question.
The arrested man was detained at Tallaght garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984, as amended.
He is expected to appear before a sitting of Tallaght District Court this morning.
