Ireland's oldest citizen has passed away at the age of 108.
The Irish Times reports that Sarah Clancy passed away peacefully, at her home in An Cheathrú Rua in Connemara Co. Galway, this morning.
Ms Clancy emigrated to Boston in the 1930s with her sister Anne, where she lived for 50 years working as a maid and cook.
