Mary Curtis, the current head of UTV Ireland, will leave the channel next month.

Ms Curtis has described her year at the helm as exciting and challenging.

A deal which would see ITV PLC buy UTV Media's TV assets, which would include UTV Ireland, for a reported sum of €136 million, but this has yet to be approved by regulators.

Back in November, UTV Media announced that UTV Ireland would be reporting losses of €18.5 million for the year.

UTV Media would still be retaining ownership of it's radio assets, including Q102, FM 104 and Galway Bay FM.
