Garda diving teams are joining a specially adapted fishing vessel to start a new search for the remaining crew missing from Coast Guard Rescue helicopter 116.

However, the search will now not get underway until Monday.

The Irish Times reports that bad weather is hampering the planned search.

Captain Dara Fitzpatrick, Captain Mark Duffy, winch operator Paul Ormsby and winch man Ciarán Duffy all died in the fatal helicopter crash.

The bodies of Paul Ormsby and Ciaran Smith have not been recovered.

Local photo journalist Fergus Sweeney says that - weather permitting - search teams will examine the seabed near Blackrock Island.

He explained: "[The search is] being led by An Garda Síochana and the Irish Coast Guard, and CHC Helicopters also had an input into it.

"I believe the plan is that they have adapted a trawl net. This would be a trawl net used generally for fishing, but it's been adapted in a special way so they can trawl the general area around Blackrock Island."
