A fire in Sligo town has claimed the lives of a father and son overnight.
Gardaí say there's nothing to suggest that the fire started suspiciously.
The men aged in their 60's and 30's died at Sligo University Hospital this morning following the blaze at a house on Market street in the town.
Gardaí also said six people were rescued from adjoining apartments and treated for smoke inhalation but none of them suffered life threatening injuries.
Emergency services were called to the scene just after 5am this morning and a forensic examination is underway while the scene is closed off.
Local Councillor Declan Bree has been speaking to Ocean FM.
