Dublin's Lord Mayor has launched the city's New Years Festival.

The three-day programme - which runs from December 30th to January 1st - includes a range of arts and cultural events with bands, buskers and performers.

Walking on Cars and The Blizzards will play a special concert in St Stephens' Green on New Years Eve.

The 3D light display Luminosity will be projected onto the front of the Custom House across the three days.

Other events include art installations, treasure hunts, family film screenings, sky dancing, pop-up events and more. You can find full listings on the NYF Dublin website.

Dublin's Lord Mayor Brendan Carr says lots will be on offer for all the family.

Speaking at the launch this morning, he said: "We're after finishing 1916 [centenary], and it's the end of a very historic year for us.

"We want people to go out in style, and celebrate the year out in style. And that's really what it's about - having fun, having family fun, and just get people to come in and enjoy what we're putting on in the city."
