Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist died following a collision in Dublin 8.
It happened on Patrick's Street at 12.44am Friday morning.
The cyclist, a man aged in his 40s, was involved in a collision with a car.
He was taken by ambulance to St James' Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the car was not injured.
A garda investigation is underway and the scene of the incident was closed earlier to facilitate an examination of the area by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
The road at the scene has now re-opened to traffic.
