In Britain, sales of Cadbury Creme Eggs fell dramatically last year - and it could be down to a change in the recipe.

There was a dip in the number of the yellow-and-white fondant filled eggs, which apparently cost the company £6 million.

Some fans were angry when the US owner of Cadbury decided to make the shell from its standard chocolate instead of Dairy Milk.

Rob Brown helped carry out the research for The Grocer magazine and says the firm insists the recipe change isn't the main reason for the decline.

According to Brown, there is a very small - but very vocal - minority who are making a fuss about the change in chocolate used in the product.

Instead, an overall change in public tastes has had a more immediate impact on revenue.
