Fans hoping to get their hands on tickets to see Coldplay may be left disappointed as the English band have sold out Croke Park.

The tickets, which were priced between €69.50 and €144, were sold out by shortly after 9.30 am on Friday morning, as fans online were greeted by a message that told them that there were no more available for purchase.

Ticketmaster also took to Twitter shortly before 10am to confirm that the gig had sold out completely.

The concert will take place in Dublin's Croke Park in July of 2017 as a part of their 'A Head Full Of Dreams' tour.

The concert will be the first time that the band has played in Dublin since 2009, and the first time that they will return to Ireland since performing at Oxegen in 2011.
