Bad debt judgements award €53m to banks

The number is a 50 per cent increase on last year

There's been a significant rise in the numbers of debt judgments made against consumers in the first quarter of this year.

According to banks were awarded almost €53m in bad debt judgments in the first three months of 2015.

The credit risk analyst firm says this marks an increase of over 50 per cent on the same period last year.
