Investigations are ongoing following two separate drug seizures in Dublin
Gardaí have seized more than 10kg of herbal cannabis in two separate operations in North Dublin.
The seizures are worth over €200,000 and were made by revenue officers in conjunction with Gardaí.
The first seizure was carried out yesterday at Dublin Airport by revenue officers, along with the Garda National Immigration Bureau.
Six kilograms of herbal cannabis was found in the checked-in baggage of a passenger who had arrived in on a flight from Madrid.
The passenger, a 50 year old Malaysian man, was arrested at the scene and appeared in the Dublin District Court earlier today.
He has now been remanded in custody to Cloverhill prison.
Separately, four kilograms of herbal cannabis was seized in North Dublin by revenue officers in conjunction with the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau.
Investigations into the haul are ongoing.
