120,000 people across Ireland have taken to the streets as part of Darkness into Light.
The pre-dawn walk in aid of suicide prevention is in aid of suicide and self harm prevention charity, Pieta House.
The event is now in its eighth year.
Tweeted images of the participants from all over the country also lit up social media feeds in the early hours of this morning.
