The removal of the headphone jack from iPhone 7 and 7 Plus disappointed some Apple fans. Many were unhappy at the thought of having to use an adaptor to utilise their old headphones, while others scoffed at the idea of wireless airpods.

An online prankster posted a video online claiming to have the solution to that issue; drill a hole in the bottom of the phone.

While you'd like to think that everyone would spot this prank-nature of this video, that is not the case. Some disgruntled iPhone owners took to Twitter and the comments section of YouTube to air their rage at the video maker.

The video was produced by California-based YouTuber Taras Maksimuk who “specialises in smashing technology for your pleasure” according to his profile. Some of Maksimuk’s other videos include “what happens if you microwave an iPhone 7” and “can the iPhone 7 survive in liquid nitrogen for five minutes”.
