While not quite at the level of 'fake canoe death man' John Darwin, Florida woman Jasmine Tridevil, who claims to have had surgery in order to give herself a third breast, may not be genuine after all.

News outlets were all aflutter yesterday when the 21-year-old massage therapist claimed she had to ask over 50 doctors to perform the operation, which involved taking skin tissue from her abdomen and adding a silicon implant. Tridevil reportedly had to sign an NDA so she couldn't disclose what doctor performed it (insert red flag here).

Discoverers of urban legends Snopes.com got a hold of some interesting details which revealed that Jasmine Tridevil’s real name is Alisha Hessler, a massage therapist whose website reads, “Provider of internet hoaxes since 2014″.

And here's some more evidence to consider, courtesy of 10 News Tampa in Florida. Tridevil agreed to an interview with the local TV station on the condition that they only discuss the self-produced reality show she hopes will be picked up by a cable network. Similarly, all the photos have come from Tridevil herself meaning they could have been easily manipulated.

And if there weren’t enough red flags already, Tridveil confirmed on her Facebook page that she is set to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live... the mastermind behind the ‘worst twerk fail ever’ video that tricked millions of people last year.

One thing’s for certain, Tridevil’s story is at least two thirds true.
